About me…
My mom taught me the basics of garter stitch when I was younger — probably to keep me occupied, so she could have at least a few minutes of peace and quiet… or maybe she was secretly hoping I would become a knitting prodigy and could then knit my own fuschia sweater vest (I was, like, six years old, ok?!). Whatever the reason, I soon fell out of interest and practice. I decided to pick the needles up again in August 2004, and so far I’m still interested and still practicing!
When I’m not knitting, you might find me outdoors cycling. Can I even really call myself a cyclist? Really? Somehow, I feel like a fraud. I don’t cycle competitively — it’s strictly for exercise. I also run… if you want to call it running. It’s really more of a very slow jog. And I do mean slow. But, hey, I get results, so I guess I’m doing something right!
Although my spiritual, personal, emotional, and political beliefs are very important to me, I try hard not to use my blog as my personal soapbox. (But, I admit to occasionally breaking that rule.) I figure my blog is supposed to be fun, not controversial. And, really, I have no desire to get my blog bogged down in a flame war about a sensitive topic.
