A gift from down under

Reach down into the depths of your memory… back when I was participating in the 2008 Tour de France knitalong… when I found out that I was one of the final intermediate sprint finalists.

Well, I didn’t win the intermediate sprint — instead coming in a very close second to my fellow Quick.Stitch teammate, Shelley.

Shelley soon sent me a message saying she wanted to share some goodies with me to celebrate. And, seeing as how she hails from Canberra, I soon found these fabulous Australian goodies sitting on my doorstep!

This small and well-traveled package instantly brought a smile to my face! It contained:

… a skein of 2 ply hand-dyed wool from Waratah Fibres in “Island Storm,”

… a skein of 8 ply hand-dyed wool, also from Waratah Fibres, in a beautiful mix of reds, purples, blues, and greens,

… a cute drawstring bag from Buttontree Lane, and

… delicious Tim Tam biscuits in two different flavors.

Thanks for being so sweet and generous, Shelley!!!
