I went to Cincinnati! To visit Natalie!
I drove down Thursday afternoon and stayed until Sunday. Like the time she came to visit me, I don’t think either of us were very good at remembering to take lots of pictures. But I did manage to take a few.
On Friday, Natalie and I drove around the city. And I mean literally drove around the city. First, we stopped to look at her dirt, where Natalie again tried to convince me that Kris and I should purchase the lot next to their’s. Then we could do yard work or hang out together in our front yards!!!! (That one was for you, Natalie!)
We quickly realized that one of the best yarn stores in the Cincinnati area, Lambikin’s Hideaway is just 20 minutes away from Natalie’s soon-to-be-built house. Lucky her! So, of course, we had to stop by.

It was at this fine establishment that I found — and purchased — this:

It’s gorgeous. It’s soft. It’s pink.
It’s Artyarns Ultramerino in colorway 130.
And they only had one skein.
But I had to have it. So I bought it.
Then we went to Jungle Jim’s, an international grocery store that I’ve heard Natalie and Julie talk about for years. Natalie thought I’d like to peruse the asian food selection (she was right). I was also hoping to find tomato paste in a tube, but no such luck on that. Oh well. I still didn’t go home empty handed.
After lunch, we drove down to Kentucky to Natalie’s current closest LYS, Knit On!. Although no yarn was purchased at this stop, I did make a new friend.

That’s where my pictures end. But I can tell you what we did the rest of the weekend — we knit! And talked. And laughed. And played with Natalie’s kids. And knit some more.
I’ve made a lot of progress on ms. marigold, and promise I’ll post pictures soon.

That looks so much like my LYS!
And what a cute kitty….
What a great weekend and what pretty yarn!
I see you’ve tagged me. I have to try to think of something to post. I feel like I’ve told it all!
