Stephanie tagged me for a meme, which is totally awesome, because I think Stephanie’s cool and I love her blog and being tagged by Stephanie makes me feel cool, too.
This meme is fairly similar to one I posted back in January, but — as I said before — Stephanie is cool, and therefore I’m participating in this one, too!
So, here are the rules: Each person tagged gives 7 random facts about themselves. Those who are tagged need to write on their own blog those 7 facts as well as the rules of the game. You need to tag seven others and list their names on your blog. You have to leave those you plan on tagging a note in their comments so they know that they have been tagged and to read your blog.
Here are my 7 random facts…
1. Last year, my husband and I got into cycling. Exercise by no means comes naturally to me, but I really do enjoy riding my bike. Do not expect to see me in any major competitions, though. Because if I did enter a cycling competition, it would be a pretty pathetic showing.
2. I have one sister. We’re 2 1/2 years apart in age. She’s probably reading this post right now.
3. Although Stephanie claims to be the slowest knitter in the world, I might have to fight her for that title. Because I’m pretty darn slow. I could probably set a record for it. I’ve even joked about trademarking the name “World’s Slowest Knitter.”
4. I love unsweetened tea, and refuse to drink it sweetened. Unless, of course, we’re talking about chai tea.
5. Coffee is a different story. My coffee must have lots of sugar and cream. You can ask Natalie. She’s witnessed it.
6. I was a music minor in college, with an emphasis in flute performance. I started out as a music major, but quickly realized that music was becoming work (instead of just being fun). Moving down to a music minor made it fun again.
7. When I was a kid, it really bothered me that the Little House on the Prairie tv series didn’t exactly follow the Little House series of books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Artistic license was a foreign concept to me, I guess.
Ok, I’m going to tag:
May at Mayflower
Kate at Snake Surly
Kimberly at Kimberly’s Korner
Cari at Implosion Explosion
Jaimie at Plays with Yarn
Sarah at String Theory
Miyon at See Mi Knit

Okay, okay, I’ll do it
I have to post my new sock blockers anyway…but it’ll have to wait until I have some down time that I’m not using to knit
(Moving sucks!)

I devoured the Laura Ingalls books as a kid!! I STILL read one or two every year when I go home. They’re so torn and tattered, but i LOVE them! I never got into the TV series either.

Oh, I just did a “5 random things” post right before I saw that you tagged me! Well, I can always post again–ditto on the Little House sentiments.

I’m with you on Little House on the Prairie. That used to dive me BONKERS.

I agree that being a music minor made music fun, not work. I still get to play in my church orchestra, and a music minor was enough to prepare me for that!
Funny about the tea. It is the latest super-food, you know!

Also, re comment about little house on the prairie, you have convinced me never to watch the series, I would be crushed!

Ahhh, thanks, Madalyn! I really enjoy getting to know my favorite bloggers better with these things.
It may have to be a slow knitters smackdown. Like the least exciting fight ever!
